Strategic Communications Partner
Bilingual Spanish& English
I am a communications professional with a knack for strategy, people, and problem solving. Mission has always been my compass, and the path there has always been leadership, clarity, and purpose.
I grew up in El Paso, in a strong bi-cultural, bi-national, and bilingual environment, surrounded by family who showed up for their community without hesitation. That became second nature to me. I started my career as a journalist and spent my early years in PR and communications before finding my way to the Federal Reserve, nonprofit leadership, and strategic communications work. I work hard to meet people where they are so we can move toward the goal together.
Across every role and every sector, my work has come down to three things: creating access, building organization, and elevating the people and stories that deserve more visibility. The setting has changed — the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, a journalism nonprofit, a culinary organization, a university research partnership, fintech — but the intention has always been the same.
I have pivoted many times throughout my career and each pivot made the next one stronger. What those pivots reflect is the ability to bring the entirety of my background to every opportunity, see patterns across sectors, adapt, and bring combined experience and insight to every client and collaborator.
At the center of all of it has been one consistent belief: that technology and people work best when designed to work together, not around each other. From building the Federal Reserve's first in-house event registration platform to leading a system-wide SaaS implementation across 12 offices, technology has always been one of the tools I use to solve communications and operational problems.
Cross-sector experience. A focus on what works. Solutions that support you.
I work in English and Spanish with local, national, and global teams. I meet you where you are.

"Working with Magda has been so much more rewarding than I could have anticipated. Thanks to her creativity and open mind, and through her leadership of Hispanic Communicators DFW, I was able to recruit and encourage my staff to become more involved in the organization. For the first time in my experience with the group, thoughtful and intentional content became the priority and I am so proud of the ways in which I and my station were able to help contribute to that mission."
