IN THEIR WORDS
I’ve had the chance to work alongside people and organizations who care deeply about their work and their communities. These reflections share what those experiences have meant in practice—how listening, structure, and shared purpose helped us move ideas forward and create lasting impact.
LITERACY
TEXAS
For perspective, I retired as President – Verizon Communications Southwest Region.
I have found that Magda has a unique ability to assess a situation, break it down into manageable components, and develop a plan to accomplish the objectives. She possesses a very creative and inquisitive mind that ensures she fully understands a situation, often revealing what others have overlooked.
One of her special gifts is the ability to listen. I’ve been in several meetings where Magda has demonstrated she can relate to a situation from the perspective of the presenter and go a step further and help others understand the issues better.
Magda would be a great addition to any organization needing someone with the skills to build a team and lead them to success.

"Working with Magda has been so much more rewarding than I could have anticipated. Thanks to her creativity and open mind, and through her leadership of Hispanic Communicators DFW, I was able to recruit and encourage my staff to become more involved in the organization. For the first time in my experience with the group, thoughtful and intentional content became the priority and I am so proud of the ways in which I and my station were able to help contribute to that mission."

Working with Magda made a significant difference for our organization. She played a key role in helping us develop a clear, structured process that strengthened the connection between our independent chapters and the national organization—ensuring more consistent access to membership benefits.
Magda approached the project with a strong emphasis on collaboration, clear communication, and practical problem-solving. She took the time to understand and articulate the existing workflows, proposed a more efficient model, and guided us through assessing the impact on all stakeholders. The framework she designed laid the groundwork for expanding the program nationally, supporting both new chapters and legacy regional structures.
I would highly recommend Magda to any organization that values thoughtful planning, operational clarity, and true partnership.
